Many People Visit Monument to Victorious Battle of Pochonbo

 Pyongyang, June 4 (KCNA) -- DPRK people are significantly greeting the anniversary of the victory in the Battle of Pochonbo.
The Battle of Pochonbo organized and commanded by President Kim Il Sung more than 80 years ago was a historic event that instilled the hope of national rebirth into the Korean people and ushered in a turning phase in the anti-Japanese armed struggle.
The immortal exploits performed by the President in national liberation are comprehensively reflected in the Monument to the Victorious Battle of Pochonbo which was built as a monument on the theme of the first revolutionary tradition of the country on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the victorious battle of Pochonbo.
This year alone, more than 18 000 officials, working people, service personnel, youth and students of nearly 400 units including the Central Cadres Training School of the Workers' Party of Korea, Kim Il Sung University, the Agricultural Commission, the Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex and the Sangwon Cement Complex visited the monument.
At the monument, the visitors laid bouquets and flowers before the statue of the President and paid tribute to him.
They grasped the personality of the President as the peerlessly great man who instilled the spirit of national self-respect and faith in sure victory into the Korean people who were groaning under the colonial rule of the Japanese imperialists by organizing a victorious battle in the homeland. -0-
