Production of Iron and Steel Goes up in DPRK
Pyongyang, June 4 (KCNA) -- Officials and workers in the metallurgical industrial sector of the DPRK are making innovations in the production of iron and steel.
Smelters of the blast furnace workshops Nos. 1 and 2 of the Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex increase the output of molten iron per charge by developing and applying an efficient method of operating the furnaces according to the technical indices of fuel.
The Steel Workshop No. 2 brings about good production results by checking the equipment during breaks and self-inspecting and self-repairing equipment in a responsible manner and improving the method of operating the oxygen converters.
The officials and workers of the Chollima Steel Complex are bringing about a surge in production and sending more iron and steel to major construction sites.
The Posan Iron Works, the Puryong Ferroalloy Factory and other metal factories are boosting the output of iron and steel for various sectors of the national economy. -0-
