Imam Turki Royal Reserve's Green Growth Boosts Air Quality, Reduces Dust Storms

Rafha, July 02, 2025, SPA -- The Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Reserve has witnessed notable environmental improvements marked by flourishing vegetation cover in recent years, resulting in better air quality and a reduction in dust and sandstorms, according to findings from scientific research and field studies conducted by specialized entities.
The Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Reserve Development Authority attributed this progress to intensified afforestation efforts aligned with the goals of the Saudi Green Initiative, which aims to plant over 600 million trees by 2030. The authority has planted hundreds of thousands of native, drought-resistant trees, contributing to the restoration of vegetation and the achievement of ecological balance.
This environmental advancement underscores the authority's commitment to supporting national objectives for environmental sustainability, improving quality of life, and preserving natural resources.
