Al-Sudani discusses the overall situation in the region with the US Chargé d'Affaires

Baghdad / NINA /-Prime Minister,  Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani received today, Sunday, the Chargé d'Affaires of the United States Embassy in Iraq, Steven Fagin, to discuss regional developments and strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.

A statement issued by the Prime Minister's media office said that the meeting addressed areas of joint cooperation across various fields, and ways to enhance the partnership between Baghdad and Washington.

The two sides also discussed, according to the statement, the latest regional developments and stressed the importance of effective international action to prevent further escalation and the region's slide into additional conflicts./ End
