HM King congratulates UAE President on Union Pledge Day

Manama, July 18 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa sent a cable of congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, on the occasion of Union Pledge Day.

The day commemorates the historic meeting on July 18, 1971, during which UAE founder, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and other Emirates rulers, signed the union document and constitution, officially declaring the United Arab Emirates.

HM the King extended congratulations to HH the President and the people of the UAE, wishing them continued progress and prosperity.

HM commended the UAE’s developmental achievements and its prominent regional and international standing, wishing the country further growth and success under the leadership of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
