Pool Stars Gear Up for World Pool Championship Kicking Off Monday in Jeddah

   Jeddah, July 21, 2025, SPA -- The Green Halls in Jeddah hosted the official press conference for the World Pool Championship, which is set to kick off on Monday under the auspices of the Ministry of Sport and in collaboration with the Saudi Billiard and Snooker Federation and Matchroom.
   The World Pool Championship will be held from July 21 to 26, featuring 233 matches and the participation of 128 players from more than 40 countries. The tournament will be broadcast live both locally and internationally, bringing the excitement of the competition to pool fans around the globe.
   The event attracted a notable turnout from local and international media, alongside some of the world's top pool stars, including current world champion Fedor Gorst, world number four Johann Chua, 2022 World Pool Champion Shane Van Boening, and rising Saudi star Khalid Alghamdi.
   In his remarks, President of the Saudi Billiard and Snooker Federation Nayef Aljawini emphasized that hosting this championship reflects the Kingdom's commitment to supporting various sports. He noted that the championship represents a significant opportunity to inspire the next generation of Saudi players and enhance the presence of local talent on the international stage.
