Saudi Arabia Condemns Targeting of World Food Program Trucks in Sudan

Riyadh, August 21, 2025, SPA -- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia condemned the targeting of three UN World Food Program (WFP) trucks in the Republic of Sudan and reiterated its categorical rejection of any actions that threaten the security and safety of civilians and humanitarian workers.
In a statement issued today by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Saudi Arabia called on all Sudanese parties to adhere to the terms of the Jeddah Declaration, signed on May 11, 2023, which includes a commitment to protecting civilians and ensuring the security of relief and humanitarian aid corridors. The ministry stressed the importance of prioritizing the interests of the Sudanese people and sparing them the devastating effects of war and internal conflict.
