FM: "Baghdad Int'l Forum" Will Discuss Mechanisms For Solving Energy Challenges

Baghdad / NINA /- Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein stressed the importance of "Baghdad International Energy Forum" for Iraq, OPEC, and the countries of the region.

Hussein said, in a statement to reporters following his participation in the opening of the forum on Saturday, that "Baghdad International Forum addresses the energy file and its sectors, oil, gas, and alternative energy, as well as the intensive qualitative presence of oil specialists and officials from various countries, to exchange views and reach important recommendations within the framework of this file, especially those related to environmental challenges and linking energy to these challenges."

He added, "Baghdad International Energy Forum is concerned with these means and examines their mechanisms and ensuring the success of their solutions," indicating that "the capital, Baghdad, is the main center from which OPEC was founded, and therefore the convening of the forum is an important event for Iraq, Baghdad, and OPEC."/End
