Singapore intends to expand its economic legal framework with Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Sept. 29, 2025 /Kabar/. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev met with his counterpart from Singapore Vivian Balakrishnan on the sidelines of the 80th anniversary session of the UN General Assembly on September 26, 2025, the press service of Kygryz Foreign Ministery reported.
During the meeting, the parties emphasized the need for joint efforts to strengthen and further develop the bilateral partnership.
Kulubaev informed his counterpart about the measures taken by the Kyrgyz government to ensure sustainable economic growth, implement major infrastructure projects, and access to EAEU markets through Kyrgyzstan. He invited the Singaporean side to participate in these initiatives.
In turn, Balakrishnan confirmed Singapore's readiness to develop cooperation with Kyrgyzstan, praising the existing potential for collaboration. He noted that Singapore is carefully considering Kyrgyzstan's proposals for expansion and expressed gratitude to Kyrgyzstan for fully joining the Marine Biodiversity Nomenclature Agreement (BBNJ).
At the end of the meeting, the minister invited his counterpart to visit the Kyrgyz Republic at a convenient time.
