Kulubaev: Transport modernization is key for landlocked countries

Bishkek, Sept. 29, 2025 /Kabar/. On September 26, Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev addressed the 24th annual meeting of foreign ministers of landlocked developing countries at UN Headquarters.
According to the ministry, in his address, Jeenbek Kulubaev emphasized the importance of the third conference, held in August 2025 in Turkmenistan, which became a key step in strengthening dialogue and identifying priorities for the coming period.
Kulubaev noted that for landlocked countries, modernizing transport infrastructure with access to multimodal corridors is a key priority. In this regard, he emphasized the need to develop transport and energy infrastructure, in particular the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway and the implementation of the CASA-1000 project, which contribute to strengthening regional connectivity and promoting sustainable development.
In conclusion, Minister Kulubaev reaffirmed Kyrgyzstan's support for the Avaza Action Plan for 2024-2034 and expressed readiness to actively promote unity and advance the principles of equal cooperation.
