Kyrgyz FM takes part in OIC Coordination Meeting

Bishkek, Sept.29, 2025/Kabar/. On September 26, 2025, Jeenbek Kulubaev, Kyrgyz Foreign Minister participated in the annual Coordination Meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Member States, held on the sidelines of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, the ministry reports.

During the event, current issues and challenges facing countries in the Islamic world, as well as prospects for the further development of OIC member states, were discussed. Particular emphasis was placed on addressing security and stability in several regions and countries of the Muslim Ummah.

In his speech, Kulubaev noted that Kyrgyzstan advocates for a peaceful resolution of conflicts and called on the international community to consolidate for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, as well as a resolution of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict in accordance with UN resolutions based on the principle of "two states for two peoples."

Minister emphasized that the Kyrgyz Republic has always been a supporter of respect for the universally recognized norms and principles of international law, enshrined in the UN Charter and other fundamental documents.

Furthermore, he noted the importance of ongoing efforts to strengthen the OIC's capacity in peacebuilding, preventive diplomacy, mediation, and the fight against terrorism, extremism, and Islamophobia.
