Winning first place at Paris Longchamp, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad: Caballo De Mar's victory in Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe reflects international status of Bahraini equestrianism

Doha, Oct. 4 (BNA): Caballo De Mar, the horse owned by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, and His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the General Sports Authority and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee for the Victorious Forever team, won first place at the Paris Longchamp racecourse over a distance of 4,000 metres, claiming the Qatar Prix du Cadran title for the second race of the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe Group 1.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad emphasised that this victory reflects the high standing Bahraini equestrian sport has attained internationally and embodies the fruit of continuous work and the ambitious vision to raise Bahrain’s flag in global events.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad commended the efforts of jockey Tom Marquand and trainer George Scott and their dedicated work in preparing the horse to achieve this well-deserved victory in one of the most important Group 1 races in Europe, wishing the Victorious Forever team continued success in future competitions.
Caballo De Mar delivered a strong performance under jockey Tom Marquand amid fierce competition from leading participating horses and deservedly secured first place, finishing ahead of some of the world’s best.
