Shura Chairman: UNESCO–King Hamad Prize showcases Bahrain’s leadership in advancing digital education

Manama, Oct. 10 (BNA): Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of Shura Council, praised Bahrain’s progress in advancing education and digital innovation, noting that the country’s achievements reflect His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s vision of preparing future generations to thrive in a rapidly evolving world shaped by artificial intelligence and technology.
Speaking on the occasion of the 2025 UNESCO–King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa Prize for the Use of ICT in Education ceremony, Al Saleh commended the Kingdom’s leadership for its steadfast commitment to fostering creativity, promoting digital literacy, and aligning education with global technological trends.
He also lauded the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for prioritising educational quality and innovation, and praised the efforts of Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education, in highlighting Bahrain’s global contributions to education and sustainable development.
Al Saleh congratulated the winning projects for their innovative approaches to integrating digital tools responsibly in education, and expressed pride in the University of Bahrain’s inclusion among the world’s top universities , a milestone that underscores the Kingdom’s growing international reputation for educational excellence.
