PM Affirms The Government's Commitment To Develop Relations With The UN

Baghdad /NINA/- Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani affirmed the government's commitment to developing relations with the United Nations, particularly following the conclusion of the UNAMI mission in Iraq, and to continuing cooperation within the framework of joint programs with the UN.

A statement from his media office indicated that Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani received the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General to Iraq, Mohammed al-Hassan, on Tuesday.

During the meeting, they reviewed the overall cooperation between Iraq and the UN's programs operating in Iraq across various development sectors.

Al-Sudani noted the continuation of positive dialogues among the national forces that won the elections, in order to fulfill constitutional obligations in accordance with the results of the recent parliamentary elections, within the framework of positive national action and the rule of law and the constitution. /End
