Kalun Meeting

 Pyongyang, June 30 (KCNA) -- The Kalun Meeting held more than 90 years ago under the guidance of President Kim Il Sung is recorded in the history of the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle as one in which the Juche idea was founded and the path of the Korean revolution illuminated.
President Kim Il Sung, who embarked on the road of revolution to save the country and the people, formulated the Juche-oriented stand and line on the Korean revolution one by one with ceaseless thinking.
On this basis, the President convened a meeting of leading personnel of the young communist league and the anti-imperialist youth league in Kalun from June 30 to July 2, 1930, and made a historic report "The Path of the Korean Revolution".
In his report, the President clarified the stand that the Korean people are the masters of the Korean revolution and the Korean revolution should be made by the Korean people themselves in conformity with the actual conditions of the country. This was a great declaration that proclaimed the founding of the Juche idea shining as the great guiding ideology in the era of independence.
The character and duty of the Korean revolution, the line of the anti-Japanese armed struggle and the policy of founding the party set forth at the meeting serve as the core of the Juche idea.
Thanks to the banner of Juche upheld by the President in Kalun, the Korean revolution could demonstrate only the ever-victorious proud history generation after generation with its original independent line, strategy and tactics. -0-
