President Sadyr Zhaparov wraps up working visit to Russia

Bishkek, Dec. 23, 2025 /Kabar/. The working visit of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov to the Russian Federation, which took place from December 20-22, has concluded.
According to the presidential press service, on the first day of the visit, the head of state's plane landed at Pulkovo International Airport in St. Petersburg.
The following day, talks were held between the leaders of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Zhaparov, and Russia, Vladimir Putin.
The heads of state discussed current bilateral issues and expressed satisfaction with the high level of Kyrgyz-Russian strategic partnership and alliance achieved.
Following this, a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council was held in narrow and expanded formats.
President Sadyr Zhaparov noted the economic stability of the Union, the strengthening of the domestic market, and the development of cooperative ties, emphasizing that the fewer barriers and costs, the more stable and competitive the Union.
Following the meeting, the award ceremony for the Leo Tolstoy International Peace Prize took place. This year's laureates were Sadyr Zhaparov, Emomali Rahmon, and Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The leaders of Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan were awarded the prize for their significant personal contribution to strengthening peace and security in the Central Asian region.
The following day, an informal meeting of CIS leaders took place at the State Hermitage Museum.
The heads of state summarized the activities of CIS bodies and identified priority areas for 2026.
After completing his working visit to Russia, President Sadyr Zhaparov returned to Bishkek on December 22.
