Natural History Museum in DPRK
Pyongyang, July 24 (KCNA) -- It has been ten years since the completion of the Natural History Museum, a complex for disseminating the knowledge of natural science and a special base for cultural and leisure activities, at the foot of Mt Taesong in Pyongyang Municipality.
Over 2.8 million working people, youth and students visited the museum to acquire a diverse and rich knowledge of nature and its evolution and development, spending a pleasant time.
As compared with the period of its completion, hundreds of scientific data were added to the museum, over 900 specimens of animals and plants of more than 200 species were newly displayed and various educational environments were additionally created.
Many visitors said that they seemed to become doctors as they get knowledge from lecturers under the excellent educational environment.
Foreigners who visited the museum said that it is the best seat for study in terms of form and contents and what is surprising is that all of the museum serve ordinary people, adding that it is a vivid expression of the true loving care shown by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un for the people.
The museum successfully built under the energetic guidance of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who personally initiated its construction and gave meticulous guidance to its architectural layout and academic contents was inaugurated on July 24, 2016. -0-
