Positive Sci-Tech Activities to Implement Regional Development 20×10 Policy

 Pyongyang, July 24 (KCNA) -- Members of the February 17 Shock Brigade of Scientists and Technicians have conducted brisk scientific and technological activities to dynamically lead the implementation of the regional development policy.
Those of the Paper Engineering Institute and other several scientific research units, dispatched to the Unsan Paper Factory, have carried out technical upgrading of more than 10 kinds of equipment including chip supplier and reactor in a responsible manner, thus increasing the production capacity and significantly lowering the standard of material consumption per unit.
The shock brigade members of the Research Institute of Mining Machine developed new equipment for packing soaps through sincere research and thinking, thus making it possible to supply them to the city and county daily necessities factories.
Scientists and technicians of Kim Il Sung University introduced new oil refining technology and oil hydrogenation device to open up a prospect for producing quality laundry soap with raw materials abundant in the country.
Teachers and researchers of Pyongyang University of Publication and Printing developed Korean-style date printer by solving the problem of controlling ink jet to provide a scientific and technological guarantee for designing and manufacturing various kinds of printers necessary for various sectors of the national economy.
The shock brigade members of the Food and Consumer Goods Research Institute under the Ministry of Regional Industry and the Academy of Light Industry under the Ministry of Light Industry took technical measures for putting production on a normal footing and improving the quality of products and contributed to increasing the efficiency while saving materials and manpower.
Besides, shock brigade members active in North Hwanghae, South Hamgyong and South Phyongan provinces settled hundreds of technical problems necessary for the expansion of varieties, thus contributing to boosting production at regional-industry factories. -0-
