MATARAT Holding Renews Hosting of Airports Council International Office

Riyadh, January 06, 2026, SPA -- MATARAT Holding signed an agreement to renew the hosting of the Airports Council International (ACI) office for the Asia-Pacific and Middle East region. The signing ceremony was attended by President of General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) and Chairman of MATARAT Holding Abdulaziz Al-Duailej alongside ACI members and other senior officials.
Al-Duailej stated that signing the agreement reflects the Kingdom’s continued leadership in the global civil aviation sector and its commitment to achieving the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. He noted that renewing the hosting of the office in Riyadh builds on the Kingdom’s successes in the aviation industry, including its membership in the UN International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Council and its chairmanship of the Aviation Security Committee.
He added that the agreement will contribute to strengthening international cooperation, expanding opportunities in the air transport market, developing advanced infrastructure, and enhancing regional and global air connectivity. He emphasized that the Kingdom continues to attract global companies and organizations to establish their headquarters in Riyadh.
MATARAT Holding Chief Executive Raed Al-Idrissi affirmed that renewing the hosting of the office aligns with the company’s efforts to reinforce the Kingdom’s position as a key hub in the Middle East aviation sector and to develop world-class airports in the Kingdom, ultimately improving the passenger experience and applying the best global practices.
The ACI for Asia-Pacific and Middle East includes 132 members representing 47 countries and operates 623 airports. The council works to promote best environmental practices to reduce aviation’s impact on the environment and represents the interests of member airports with governments and international organizations.
