C4IR Saudi Arabia to Host Quantum Forum in Riyadh on August 30

Riyadh, August 25, 2026, SPA -- The Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution in Saudi Arabia (C4IR Saudi Arabia), part of the World Economic Forum's global network, will host the Quantum Forum on 30 August 2026 at King Salman Science Oasis in Riyadh. The Forum represents the second track of the Centre's World Quantum Day 2026 programme, held under the theme "Shaping the Quantum Workforce."
The Forum is held in strategic partnership with King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST), King Salman Science Oasis, and the Institute for Advanced Studies and Cooperation, bringing together government officials, leaders from across sectors, researchers, innovators, entrepreneurs, and international experts to explore the policies, partnerships, and talent required to accelerate the growth of the Kingdom's quantum ecosystem.
Building on the "Quantum Journey" exhibition held this past April, the Forum forms part of C4IR Saudi Arabia's third consecutive year of celebrating World Quantum Day. Its panel discussions, featuring a select group of experts, will address Saudi Arabia's vision for the quantum economy, the foundations required to build it, including scientific research and human capital development, as well as mechanisms for translating research outputs into practical applications, the readiness of national talent, and applications of quantum technologies in sectors including financial services, healthcare, and energy-intensive industries.
The Forum reflects C4IR Saudi Arabia's commitment to advancing dialogue on frontier and emerging technologies, strengthening collaboration across sectors, and supporting the development of a workforce equipped for the quantum future, in line with the targets of Saudi Vision 2030 and the Kingdom's direction towards a sustainable, knowledge-based economy driven by innovation.
The Forum is supported by leading local and international organisations, including King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), Quantinuum, Pasqal, Rigetti, Saudi Awwal Bank (SAB), IonQ/ID Quantique (IDQ), and Athar Health Volunteering Society. Their support reflects a shared commitment to advancing quantum innovation, strengthening international collaboration, and accelerating the growth of Saudi Arabia's quantum ecosystem.
C4IR Saudi Arabia invites researchers, students, entrepreneurs, sector leaders, relevant entities, and interested members of the public to attend the Quantum Forum and take part in shaping the future of quantum technologies.
