Mohamad Sabu Urges Malaysians To Continue Solidarity With Palestine
KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 8 (Bernama) -- Malaysians are urged to continue voicing solidarity with Palestine and channeling aid through trusted avenues to assist the people there who continue to endure suffering.
In a Facebook post, Minister of Agriculture and Food Security Mohamad Sabu said the international community must also be continuously urged to act to halt the violence, ensure humanitarian aid reaches those in need, and uphold the rights of the Palestinian people to live in freedom and dignity.
Commemorating the third anniversary of the events of October 7, he reminded all parties that the cause for peace and freedom for the Palestinian people must continue to be championed.
"The lives of civilians, especially children, must be protected. This struggle demands our steadfastness and unity," he said, while also praying for the protection of the Palestinian people and for them to be granted a just and lasting peace.
Mohamad also called on Malaysians to pray for those who have lost their lives and the families grieving their losses due to the conflict, and urged everyone to remain united and not let the suffering of the Palestinian people be forgotten, while avoiding hatred towards any race or religion.
