Week of DPRK Film Show Opened in Moscow
Pyongyang, October 8 (KCNA) -- An opening ceremony of the Week of DPRK Film Show was held in Moscow on Oct. 2 to mark the 78th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the DPRK and the Russian Federation.
Present there were personages of the foreign ministry and the ministry of culture, the Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK and government, organizations and institutions, film artistes, citizens of Moscow and a delegation participating in the film show of Russia, and staff members of the DPRK embassy in Moscow.
A congratulatory message from Russian Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova was read out at the ceremony.
The minister of culture in the congratulatory message said that the film show would serve as an occasion of opening up a new chapter for bilateral cultural cooperation, adding that the Russian people would have a deep understanding of the Korean cinematic art and the mutual understanding be further promoted through the event.
Then followed speeches.
Speakers said that the friendship between the two countries, which greeted a new era of overall efflorescence thanks to the wise leadership of the top leaders of the DPRK and Russia, is developing vigorously in the spirit of the Treaty on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, adding that the film show week event will contribute to strengthening cooperation in the cultural field.
