Material and Technological Foundation of Tree Nurseries Consolidated in DPRK

 Pyongyang, October 8 (KCNA) -- Achievements have been made in the DPRK to consolidate the material and technical foundations of tree nurseries in cities and counties and putting the sapling production on a higher level of scientific basis.
Kangwon Province remodeled and repaired the mother tree nurseries in a short span of time and has produced saplings according to characteristics of their species by conducting the work for raising the employees' technical and skill level in various forms and methods.
North Hamgyong Province, in close contact with relevant units, has introduced efficient tree nursing machines into city and county tree nurseries to ensure optimization of sapling planting.
Jagang Province has introduced an integrated production control system into city and county tree nurseries at the final stage while raising hundreds of millions of saplings in tens of species of high economic value suited to the regional climatic and soil conditions.
South Hamgyong Province produced green agrochemicals with high exterminating rate, thus increasing the productivity of pine-nut saplings by more than 1.3 times than last year. It is also producing efficient plant nutrients by itself.
Nampho Municipality developed a growth promoter capable of increasing the growth capacity of saplings to raise the rate of rooting considerably than before, and Ryanggang Province built biological agrochemicals production bases for cultivating saplings scientifically.
North Phyongan Province introduced advanced technology to produce biological agrochemicals capable of ensuring the germinating rate of seeds by more than 95 percent. -0-
