Somalia Condemns Houthi Attacks on Abha, King Khalid International Airports

Mogadishu, October 10, 2026, SPA -- The Federal Republic of Somalia condemned in the strongest terms the Houthi group's attacks on Abha International Airport and King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, which killed and injured civilians.
In a statement, the Somali Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation affirmed that the attacks constitute a grave violation of international law and a direct threat to Saudi Arabia's sovereignty and regional security. It extended its sincere condolences to the victims' families and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
The ministry expressed Somalia's full solidarity with Saudi Arabia in the measures it is taking to protect its security and stability, and called for an immediate halt to attacks on civilian infrastructure in the Kingdom.
