Founding Anniversary of WPK Marked in DPRK
Pyongyang, October 11 (KCNA) -- All the people across the DPRK significantly celebrated the 81st anniversary of the founding of the glorious Workers' Party of Korea.
An endless stream of visitors flowed into the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, the sacred temple of Juche, where President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il lie in state.
At the plaza of the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, the visitors paid the highest tribute to the great leaders.
Officials, working people, service personnel, youth and students visited the statues of the peerlessly great men and the mosaics depicting them on Mansu Hill and in other parts of the country to lay flower baskets, bouquets and flowers before them, recollecting with deep emotion the immortal exploits of the President and the Chairman who demonstrated before the world the might and dignity of the Workers' Party of Korea and provided a firm cornerstone for the prosperity of the country.
Working people's organizations in South Hamgyong Province, North Hamgyong Province, Nampho Municipality and other regions met to tell stories about the noble virtues of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il. They also held celebration meetings and oratorical meetings.
Performances were given in Pyongyang and other parts of the country to celebrate the significant October holiday.
Dancing parties of youth and students and women's union members were held across the country, adding to the festive mood.
Public catering establishments across the country, including Okryu Restaurant, Phyongnam Noodle House and Sinhung Restaurant in Hamhung, were full of visitors receiving holiday service.
Leisure complexes, including the Central Zoo and the Natural History Museum, were crowded with working people enjoying the holiday. -0-
