UNEMPLOYMENT RATE RISES
Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ As of 3rd quarter of 2009, a number of unemployed was 119.0 thousand. Of them, a number of those been registered at Labour and Welfare Service Divisions in aimags and the capital city and actively looking for job reached 38.1 thousand at the end of December 2009.
It shows an increase of 8,264 or 27.7 per cent against the same period of the previous year. It happened due to increase in unemployed registered in some aimags, namely Tov (431 people), Ovorkhangai (453 people), Darkhan-Uul (482 people), Khovd (483 people), Bayankhongor (696 people), Zavkhan (699 people), Uvs (848 people), Bulgan (1,827 people), and Ulaanbaatar city (1,350 people).
