JEDDAH GAVERNOR OPENS GLOBAL SYMPOSIUM ON VIRAL DISEASES

Jeddah, June 14, SPA -- On behalf of Prince Khalid Al-Faisal bin
Abdulaziz, the Governor of Makkah Region; Prince Misha'al bin Majed
bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Jeddah, opened here today the
activities of Global Symposium on Viral Diseases.

The symposium is attended by a number of professors, scientists and
researchers from the Kingdom and abroad.

The symposium discusses a number of topics such as viral hepatitis,
dengue fever and bird flu in addition to modern diagnostic and
research techniques in the field of viral diseases.

The symposium will enhance scientific cooperation between the Kingdom
of Saudi Arabia and a number of states in the field of developing
scientific research and finding solutions for intractable diseases.
