POLISH AMBASSADOR PRESENTS CREDENTIALS

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland to Mongolia Mr Tadeush Homitsky presented Monday diplomatic credentials to the President Ts.Elbegdorj.
The State Head received the Ambassador after this ceremony, and pointed out that Mongolia and Poland have long-year historical relations. The President mentioned about the 60th anniversary of the bilateral relations to be celebrated this year. "Our countries should deepen the relations and cooperation. Poland is one of the active members of the European Union and is an important partner of Mongolia at the international relations," Elbegdorj said.
Mr Homitsky said the countries' people have long-year traditional and friendly ties, and emphasized that Eastern Europe, including Poland, is in the process of overcoming the transitional period. Mr Homitsky expressed his confidence that the bilateral relations would deepen toward a newer level, and said Poland will pay an attention to continuing its tradition of exchanging scholars and training students in frames of the collaboration in educational and scientific spheres.
Mr Homitsky considers that the countries have an opportunity to widen the economic ties, for example in the mining cooperation.
