AZERBAIJAN DID MUCH TO DEVELOP AGRICULTURE IN 2009, PRESIDENT
Baku, January 19 (AzerTAc). Much had been done in Azerbaijan in 2009 to boost agricultural sector, Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev told a Cabinet meeting on the last year`s socio-economic achievements.
The President vowed the government would continue measures in 2010 to strengthen the country`s agricultural potential, which he described as “very important both for economic and social sectors”.
“We`ve already built several state-of-the-art processing facilities across Azerbaijan, others are being built. In the next few years Azerbaijan will be able to process its home-made agricultural products by itself.”
“We should bring the quality of our products to modern standards so than they can easily enter the European Union markets.”
