ROADS TO BE RUN AT LOAN FROM GERMANY
Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ A joint meeting of the parliamentary Standing committees on economy and on budget discussed and then backed Tuesday an issue of realizing a project to construct roads.
The 7.45 km and 27 km roads will be run to Tov aimag's Bornuur and Jargalant soums with a loan of EUR 4.5 million from the Federal Republic of Germany. By implementing the project, the local transportation infrastructure will be improved letting boost the city's food supplies, the Standing committees consider.
Apart of the loan of EUR 4.5 million, the Mongolian side will receive a non-refundable aid of EUR 0.8 million from Germany dedicated to financing advisory companies.
During the discussion, some MPs criticized two issues of the project. The expense for the advisory companies is too high, accounting almost to 20 per cent of the total non-refundable aid, they said and suggested the cabinet to fix the minimum size of expense for such companies. D.Terbishdagva said that the roads must be run to Tov aimag's Batsumber soum and to Jargalant village (formerly Partizan's farm) instead of roads to Jargalant and Bornuur soums. He underlined that Batsumber soum and Jargalant village are not far from Ulaanbaatar and that milk supply for the city depends on these areas.
