Six-party talks on DPRK nuclear issue may be held next week

BEIJING, June 21 (Itar-Tass) -- A meeting of the heads of delegations participating in the six-party talks on the DPRK nuclear issue may be held in the Chinese capital next week, sources in the US delegation said on Saturday.

Assistant Secretary of State Christopher Hill, who heads the US
delegation, arrived in Beijing on Friday and had already held an informal
meeting with Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister Wu Dawei. According to Hill,
he intends to meet again with the Chinese colleague on Monday.

Earlier, South Korea's mass media reported that on June 26, Pyongyang
was to present a complete list of its nuclear programmes, which will
enable Washington to exclude the DPRK from the list of the countries
supporting terrorism. However, Hill didn't give any comments on this
information, saying that he is not authorized to do it.

Observers don't rule out that Hill may meet with head of the DPRK
delegation Gie Gwang in Beijing in the next few days.
