DPRK INVITES TV FIRMS OF SIX-PARTY TALKS STATES TO FILM NUCLEAR DISMANTLING

TOKYO, June 23 (Itar-Tass) - North Korea invited a TV company from
each of the five member countries at the six-party talks to film
dismantling of nuclear projects in Yongbyon, said the head of the South Korean delegation at these talks Kim Sook in Seoul on Sunday before his flight to Beijing for further consultations on settling the nuclear problem in the Korean Peninsula.

According to the South Korean chief negotiator, "the number of the
invited to film the planned dismantling live of the water-cooling tower of the nuclear reactor includes, among others, the American CNN Company".

Experts noted that this invitation is "a clear signal that efforts on
denuclearising the Korean Peninsula have entered the decisive stage".

According to reports from Seoul, the list of the invited for TV
filming at the super-secret centre in Yongbyon also includes the South
Korean TV company MBS. However, it has not issued its agreement yet.

It was also made known that North Korean organisers of a live telecasting from Yongbyon "requested a very impressive sum for the right to exclusive broadcasting". The names of other TV companies have not been called yet.

Reliable sources in the South Korean capital believe that Pyongyang "can make public its declaration on the content of its nuclear programmes next Thursday, June 26."

The document will be evidently brought to Beijing by North Korean Deputy Foreign Minister Kim Kye-gwan, representing North Korea at the six-party talks (two Korean states, China, Russia, the US and Japan).

Kim Sook plans to hold two-day talks in Beijing with Chinese delegate Wu Dawei, chairing meetings of the six countries, including periods of holding a new round of six-party talks and their agenda.

Kim Sook refrained from specifying any dates before his departure for the Chinese capital, including a date of demonstrating the dismantling of the water-cooling tower in Yongbyon, but he confidently emphasised that these actions are "inevitable".

He intimated at the same time that they would be only the starting point.
