      FOREIGN MINISTER MEETS ITOCHU CORP'S OFFICIAL
      	Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ Minister of Foreign Affairs G.Zandanshatar received Tuesday Yoichi Kobayashi, a Senior Managing Director of Itochu Corporation, and Japan.  
Mr Kobayashi said the corporation has carried out its activities in Mongolia for some 20 years, and that he has a long-year experience in chairing Japan-Mongolia Economic Committee. He voiced his willingness to cooperate with Mongolia in investing the biggest mineral deposits such as the Tavan tolgoi.
The Foreign Minister underlined that Mongolia attaches a great political importance to the bilateral relations and cooperation. He mentioned an important role of the economic ties and private sector to widen the Mongolia-Japan collaboration and expressed a willingness to develop cooperation with Japan in producing value-added goods in a way of introducing environmentally-friendly techniques and technologies, developing infrastructure for the largest mining deposits such as electric power station and transmission lines.
