CABINET MEETING HELD

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ The cabinet meeting held Wednesday backed in principle draft new wording of the law on "Involving policemen and servicemen in the UN peacekeeping operations and other international operations" initiated by R.Amarjargal, Ya.Batsuuri, Kh.Jekei, Ts.Shinebayar and Z.Enkhbold MPs. The cabinet supported draft amendments to the laws on "Pension and allowance for servicemen", "Armed Forces of Mongolia", and "Military responsibilities of Mongolian citizen and legal status of servicemen".
Minister of Finance S.Bayartsogt was ordered to allot money from the state fund for supporting some measures dedicated to the Day of Patriots.
The regulation on realizing projects on scientific and technological works was reapproved. In addition, a united list was approved on measures of involving military groups in the UN peacekeeping operations and other operations in the year 2010 and organizing international joint military trainings and exercises.
Deputy Premier was ordered to organize a drawing up of a design for a new parliamentary palace and to select a performer of the construction through tender.
Minister of Foreign Affairs G.Zandanshatar was told to approve results of participation of Mongolia's governmental members in the 64th UN General Assembly and to control over the results implementation.
Minister of Education, Culture and Science Yo.Otgonbayar was allowed to pay visits to France, Germany and UK in February 11-20. The visits' directives will be approved by the Prime Minister.
Minister of Finance S.Bayartsogt was allowed to allot money for the visit of the Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry to be paid to Austria. The Minister of Agriculture will attend the 4th meeting of Mongolia-Austria Intergovernmental Joint Commission of Economy to be held February 21-26.
Cabinet backed in principle a draft agreement on technical cooperation to be established between the governments of Mongolia and Monaco. The draft agreement will be consulted with parliament. The government discussed a draft law on employment of Mongolians and foreign citizens in Mongolia and abroad, and then backed it in principle after reflecting proposals of the cabinet members. The draft law will be submitted to the State Great Khural.
