Luang Prabang Cement to build second plant
Vientiane,Feb 11 (KPL)- The Luang Prabang Cement Company has decided to expand its production capacity by building another plant in Nam Bark district, Luang Prabang province, to meet the increased demand of local market.
The company said that most of the cement produced by its second factory will be supplied to northern provinces of Laos.
The construction of the new cement plant is scheduled to begin next month and complete in twelve months with an investment of USD 22 million.
The plant with an annual production capacity of 250,000 tonnes is believed to begin producing cement at the end of 2011.
