Laos and Thailand enhance co-operation on Employment

(KPL) Laos and Thailand will continue to further their co-operation on employment.

The statement was confirmed during the courtesy visit to Deputy Prime
Minister and Minister of National Defense Duangchai Phichit of Thai Labour
Ministry led by its Minister Oulayvanh Thienthong last week.

At the talks, Mr. Duangchai praised and highly valued the visit to Laos of
Thai labour delegation as a big contribution to further strengthening the
friendly relation and co-operation between Laos and Thailand, especially in
the field of labour and social welfare.

On this occasion, Mrs Oulayvanh expressed thanks to Mr. Duangchai for his
warm welcome and informed him the purpose and activities of her delegation
visit to Laos.

Mrs. Oulayvanh arrived here on 19 June to attend the first Lao-Thai
ministerial meeting on labour affairs.
