Israel is too weak to threaten Iran: Hosseini
Tehran, June 24, IRNA - Israel is by no means in a position to threaten Iran, Foreign Ministry spokesman, Mohammad-Ali Hosseini said on Monday.
He made the remarks at his weekly press conference while commenting on
Israeli boast of air show in the Mediterranean and scenario of air
strike on Iran.
"It is a hollow slogan and they do so whenever they want to transfer
their internal crisis out of the regime structure," Hosseini said
recalling the humiliating defeat of Tel Aviv in its 33-day war in
Lebanon.
Commenting on Israeli air force exercise, the spokesman said the move
was a way through which Israel wanted to get rid of its several
domestic crises and distract public opinion.
"Tel Aviv regime needs such moves to repair humiliated spirit of
Israeli officials after being defeated by forces of the Lebanese
resistance movement in summer 2006 (July-August)," Hosseini stressed.
