GCC's Secretary General meets Chinese Vice President

Doha, June 24, SPA -- GCC's Secretary General Abdulrahman bin Hamad
Al-Attiyah met here tonight with Chinese Vice President, XI Jinping,
who is currently visiting Qatar.

During the meeting, they reviewed the friendly relations between the
GCC states and China and ways to enhance them in all areas in
addition to discuss the current political situation in the region,
especially those related to the Palestinian cause, the situation in
Iraq and the developments of the Iranian nuclear programme.

They also reviewed the negotiations between the GCC states and China
on a free trade agreement.
