OFFICE OF PARLIAMENT AND ACADEMY OF SCIENCES TO COOPERATE

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ Office of the State Great Khural and the Academy of Sciences (AS) established Friday a cooperation memorandum. The document was signed by Ts.Sharavdorj, a Secretary-General of the parliamentary office, and B.Enkhtuvshin, the AS's president, in the Government House.
The parliamentary office secretary said the bilateral cooperation focuses on enhancing participation of researchers, scholars and scientific institutes in legislative activities, delivering reports on basic and theoretical researches to the policy- and decision-makers and on improving the scientific basis of laws adopted by the State Great Khural. Ts.Sharavdorj pointed out an importance of the cooperation in creating an environment and conditions for making high quality laws.
The president of the AS B.Enkhtuvshin expressed his satisfaction with developing of the cooperation with parliamentary office in promoting drawing up draft laws, resolutions and national programs and in refining upon the scientific basis and theory.
In a scope of the memorandum, the Academy and its institutes and the Research Center at parliament will develop the collaboration by ways of organizing scientific conferences, seminars and meetings, exchanging research works, books and textbooks and issuing joint scientific works.
