D.IDEVKHTEN MEETS RUSSIA'S ELECTORAL COMMISSION LEADER

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Russian Federation D.Idevkhten has met with V.Churov, a head of Russia's Central Election Commission (CEC).
Beginning the meeting, the Ambassador underlined that electoral authority rules important acts in forming the state, having citizens enjoy the rights of electing and being elected and in strengthening these rights. He expressed a willingness to work by supporting the ties and collaboration between the central electoral organizations of the two countries.
Mr Churov spoke about regional and local elections to run March, distributing information on the settlement for electoral law and its organization to foreign embassies and international organizations. He said he hopes that he would meet again with his Mongolian counterpart during international measure of electoral organizations to be held September 2010 in Irkutsk city.
The sides emphasized an importance of propagandizing a history of Mongolia-Russia friendship relations and cooperation to people of our countries especially to young generations.
