Laos and Mongolia want two-way friendship to go on forever

VIENTIANE, FEB 19 (KPL) - The Laos-Mongolia and Mongolia-Laos Friendship associations exchanged lessons and enhanced solidarity and cooperation and further cemented the long-standing bilateral relations.
At the meeting held on 19 February, Vientiane, the Lao side was led by Dr Phandouangchith Vongsa, President of the Laos-Mongolia Friendship Association and the Mongolian side by Mr Aleiu Soulen, President of the Mongolia-Laos Friendship Association.
The Mongolian Ambassador to Laos and representatives of the Laos-Mongolia and Mongolia-Laos Friendship associations were also at the meeting.
Mr Phandouangchith Vongsa, gave a briefing to the President of the Mongolia-Laos Friendship Association on socio-economic development of Laos, and pointed to the GDP growth of 7.6 per cent for the second half of 2009, the annual per capita income of US$906 and the rapid increase in foreign investments.
This bilateral meeting fostered the solidarity and cooperation between the two Friendship associations. The two sides hoped the good relations would persist.
