TURKEY HELPS MONGOLIANS

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ Government of Turkey has decided to donate USD 50 thousand to Mongolia's government. The money is dedicated to those herdsmen suffering from extremely cold weather. A report about this decision was sounded by A.Asim Arar, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Mongolia, during his meeting Monday with M.Enkhbold, the Deputy Premier.
Apart of the cash donation, added Mr Arar, a military airplane with blankets, clothes and foods onboard will land Tuesday on "Chingis Khaan" international airport, Ulaanbaatar. A ceremony of receiving the relief goods will run 4.00 pm Wednesday.
The Deputy Premier, head of the State Emergency Commission Enkhbold thanked the Turkish side on behalf of Mongolia's government for rendering the support in difficult times. This aid is not the first one: the government of Turkey gave an assistance earlier, after the flood that took place May of 2009 in some places of the country.
As of February 22, 2010, two million and 467 thousand livestock perished nationwide due to the zud.
