THE REMAININGS OF DEAD ANIMALS TO BE ELIMINATED

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ It is estimated to spend MNT 5.5 billion on eliminating the remainings of dead farming animals that perished due to zud disaster, the Government reports. It has planned to carry out a first phase of extermination, disinfection and sterilization campaign within March 20. The second phase will be completed in April.
At the meeting on February 22, the National Emergency Commission made a decision to submit the above projects to a government meeting. As of February 22, about 2.5 million head of livestock have perished nationwide due to severe winter, the National Emergency Commission said. Meanwhile, over 800,000 new born animals are surviving countrywide.
