CENTURY COMMITTEE POSTPONES HEARING FACTIONS' FINAL STATEMENTS

Jakarta, Feb 22 (ANTARA) - The House committee investigating the Bank Century bailout case has decided to postpone a session to hear the final conclusions of the party factions until Tuesday afternoon.

It was originally to have taken place on Monday (Feb 22).

"The session has been postponed because the formulation of the draft report on the conclusions of the small team by an expert team is delayed," committee chairman Idrus Marham said here on Monday.

The House inquiry committee had recently set up a small team to formulate the conclusions on the committee's work.

Idrus said based on the schedule agreed by the committee before the formulation of the draft report on the conclusions of the small team should have been finished by Sunday night but "because the formulation by the team of experts has been delayed the presentation of the final statements of the party factions has also been delayed."
The expert team was initially expected to have submitted the draft report on the small team's conclusions on Monday morning.

Idrus said after the small team had studied the draft report it would then meet with the expert team to discuss the content of the draft report on Monday evening.

The committee's deputy chairman, Yahya Sacawirya, said the expert team was expected to submit the draft report containing compilation of facts and data collected by the inquiry committee from witnesses as well as experts so far to the small team.

"The political factions in the committee will later analyze the draft report before making their final statements," he said.

He said it had been agreed that the format of the draft report would consist of six chapters, including one containing the committee's recommendations.
