THOUSANDS PRAY FOR STRENGTH FOR PRESIDENT YUDHOYONO

Jakarta, Feb 26 (ANTARA) - Thousand members of the Dzikir Rasulullah Council offered prayers here on Friday for President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono to continue to have strength and peace of mind.

The prayer was said by the leader of the prayers group, Al Habib Munzir bin Fuad Am Musawa in the midst of ten-minute long Jalalah recitals, held at the capital city's National Monument (Monas) Square to mark the birthday of the Prophet Mohammad.

During the prayers, attendants recited "Ya Allah, Ya allah."

"Among us is the leader of the world's largest moslem nation. Give him strength, peace of mind and sense of tranquality," Habib Munzir said in the prayer.

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono attended the prayers event along with Vice President Boediono and several cabinet ministers such as coordinating minister for political, security and law affairs Djoko Suyanto, coordinating minister for economic affairs Hatta Radjasa, state secretary Sudi Silalahi, state minister for youth and sports affairs Andi Malarangeng and minister of fishery and marine resources Fadel Muhammad.

The Rasulullah Council is the biggest prayers group in Jakarta that regularly conducts prayer events every week.

The prayers event at Monas is also part of the routine activities held every year to mark the anniversary of the birth of the Prophet.***
