NINETEEN PASIRJAMBU LANDSLIDE VICTIMS STILL MISSING
Bandung, Indonesia, Feb 26 (ANTARA) - A disaster mitigation service official said here on Friday that 19 people were believed still buried after a landslide in Pasirjambu, West Java, recently.
Sigit Udjwalaprana, the head of the province's disaster mitigation service, said there were no more than the 19 people that still had yet to be found according to families reporting their missing members after the incident four days ago.
A total of 27 bodies have been found buried in the landlide.
"We will continue the search although we only have two backhoes for digging the earth," he said.
He said the total number of victims was confirmed at 46, who were mostly tea pickers and villagers who were resting in their houses when the landslide occured at 8am on Tuesday.
