PRESIDENT WORKS IN BAYANKHONGOR

Ulaanbaatar, MONTSAME/ President Ts.Elbegdorj worked in Bayankhongor province February 27. The local government introduced to Elbegdorj the present situation of the wintering saying it was difficult time for herders.
Currently, some 120,000 heads of livestock have perished in the province due to hard winter, the local authorities said. “Such difficult weather conditions may continue till May,” they added.
“Under the umbrella of the program on supporting small and medium enterprises, business people of the Bayankhongor received a loan of MNT 730 million in total to engage in manufacturing. Thanks to this program, local production considerably increased last year,” local official said. Then President Elbegdorj visited the Otgon, one of the Zavkhan's soums heavily suffered the severe winter.
After touring the Otgon soum to see the wintering condition, Mr Elbegdorj headed to Zavkhan province's center Uliastai.
