STX Group's French unit wins cruise ship order
SEOUL, March 2 (Yonhap) -- South Korea's STX Group said Tuesday that its French unit has won a deal to build a cruise ship.
Under the deal with MSC Cruises Ltd. of Europe, the unit will build 140,000-ton
cruise ship by mid-2012.
STX did not unveil the value of the contract, but industry sources estimated it
at 860 billion won.
The ship is 330 meters long and has the capacity to accommodate 3,500 passengers.
