COLD WINTER AND SNOW STORMS KILL THREE MILLION LIVESTOCK
Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ Due to severe winter, about 3 million head of livestock have perished in Mongolia as of first of March, the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry said.
According to a report by the ministry, a total of 3 million 10.235 heads of animals have died nationwide due to the winter. Of them, 287.606 were big animals (cattle, horse and camel) and 2 million 722.629 were small animals (sheep and goat).
