MONGOLIANS ATTEND FESTIVAL FOR YOUTH OLYMPIC GAMES

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ The latest event themed "Art" for the "Create Action Now" festival--a serial measure took place February 27 in the central square of the Marina Barrage in Singapore. This event is organized between April 2009 and April 2010 by the Organizing Committee of Singapore for the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics to be held August 14-26 in order to propagandize the first youth Olympics.
During the event, artistic groups of Singapore's children and youths gave their performances, dance groups ran competitions. The Mongolia's Embassy and some 40 Mongolians attended the event, and also gave their art performance. For example, contortion performance by T.Purevsuren and B.Selenge was greatly appreciated by the gathered. An English language student of Canada's Educational School M.Togoldor played piano, students B.Bilegt and O.Minjin performed folk dance and sang Mongolian and English songs. In accordance with the program, the attendees of the event exchanged Olympic badges, bags and decorative items.
In addition to it, the Mongolians took part in flying kites wishing young athletes to gain brilliant success at the upcoming Olympics of youths.
